Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound Therapy has been in use for many years.  It incorporates sound waves that travel through the skin to deliver a deep heat therapy not possible by a simple heating pad. This deeper penetration delivers the healing effects of heat more effectively to painful problem areas.

This therapy is often paired with our EMS therapy.

-What is it?

Ultrasound begins by placing a gel on the problem area to maximize the transmission of the therapy.  This gel acts as a coupling medium and enhances the ability of the therapeutic sound waves to penetrate the tissue more effectively. These penetrating sound waves travel through the skin and into the target area at a frequency that produces a gentle warmth in the painful area.   After the treatment is over, the therapy allows for reduced inflammation in the targeted area.

We believe Ultrasound therapy can benefit everyone suffering from a musculoskeletal inflammatory condition.  Inflammation often is the cause for many issues within the body, and this directly targets the root of the problem.
